About Our Leather Products

The leather we use in our products is sustainably produced and sourced as a by-product of the food industry—nothing is made just for the leather. All of our leathers are processed and produced in Turkey, following responsible and ethical production practices.

Materials We Do Not Use!

There is also a list of materials and practices that we have committed to never using due to their unacceptable risks regarding hazardous chemicals, health, animal welfare, and biodiversity loss.

  • Exotic skins

  • Fur

  • Leathers from Brazil and Bangladesh

  • Products derived from endangered forests

  • Illegally processed leather

What You Need to Know Before Ordering

Thank you so much for considering our handmade products! Here are a few important things to keep in mind before placing your order:

🙌 Handmade with Care; Production

  • All of our items are handmade to order by just the two of us (a husband-and-wife team). Every piece is carefully prepared, so please allow a little time for production.

  • Leather orders take a little longer and are shipped within 3–5 business days. All orders are processed in the order they’re received. During busier times (like Christmas), production may take longer, so we always recommend ordering early if you’re in a rush. If you ever feel like your order is taking longer than expected, please don’t hesitate to reach out; we’re always happy to help. 💌

  • Please keep in mind: Each leather manufacturer uses different production techniques, so the same type of leather can look and feel very different depending on where it comes from. For this reason, we kindly ask that you avoid comparing our leather products directly with those from other brands.

✨ Leather Types

  • We use three high-quality types of leather in our products: Crazy Horse, Italian Buttero, and Valora. Each leather type has its own character, and its production processes differ, so you may notice variations from one piece to another, even within the same type.

  • Leather is a natural material, much like our own skin. It changes and evolves over time. Color variations, fine cracks, tone shifts, and slight markings are all part of its natural charm, not flaws. These unique features give each item its own personality.

  • We source our leathers in single rolls, and each piece is carefully cut, checked, and crafted by us. That means no two items will be the same, and that’s what makes them so special.

  • We also inspect and clean all leather thoroughly before using it, and we don’t use pieces with damage. So please rest assured, your product is created with great care and attention at every step.

  • Leather colors may vary slightly from batch to batch. This is completely normal and part of the natural leather production process.

Buttero Leather (≈ 1.4 – 1.6 mm)

Buttero is a premium Italian vegetable-tanned leather known for its smooth surface, firm temper, and rich colour depth.
It has a sleek, polished finish that feels slightly waxy to the touch and softens gracefully with use.
Because it’s thinner than our other leathers, Buttero is ideal for sleek, refined notebooks and accessories where precision and elegance matter most.
Over time, it develops a deep, glossy patina and becomes wonderfully supple.

Feel: Smooth and firm
Look: Refined, even-toned surface
Best for: Minimalist designs, slim notebooks, everyday carry items

Valora Leather (≈ 2 – 2.2 mm)

Valora is our signature thick vegetable-tanned leather. It has a robust hand-feel, a matte natural finish, and a slightly more textured grain than Buttero.
Because of its thickness, Valora develops strong character and beautiful contrast as it ages.
Every mark and movement adds depth, making each piece truly one of a kind.

Feel: Substantial, natural, slightly textured
Look: Matte with visible grain
Best for: Covers with structure and presence — journal covers, larger planners, and items meant to last decades

Crazy Horse Leather (≈ 2 mm)

Crazy Horse is a full-grain leather treated with a blend of waxes and oils, giving it its rugged, vintage look.
When bent or rubbed, the colour lightens — creating a distinctive pull-up effect that highlights the leather’s natural fibres.
It’s durable, water-resistant, and perfect for those who love a weathered, adventurous character.
Over time, the surface becomes smoother and richer, carrying the marks of your journeys.

Feel: Velvety and waxed
Look: Distressed, with colour variations and pull-up marks
Best for: Travel notebooks, rustic styles, and people who love leathers that tell stories

✂️🪡 Personalisation

  • You can make it completely personal by adding your initials or special characters at no extra cost.

  • All our letter stamps are in UPPERCASE and are 1 cm tall. For smaller sizes like A6, we recommend keeping it short so it looks neat.

  • Please note that some special letters or symbols may not be available. If you have something specific in mind, feel free to message us first to check!

  • We receive lots of requests for full personalised or bespoke products. Since we’re a small team, custom production takes a lot of time, so unfortunately, we’re not able to offer it at the moment.

  • Please note: We don’t accept returns on personalised items, as they’re made just for you and can’t be resold.

Leather Care

Leather is one of the most sustainable materials, especially when it’s cared for properly.

Over time, your leather product will develop a soft, smooth, and slightly shiny finish called a patina. It may get a few scratches or marks with use, but that’s completely normal and part of its natural character.

With a little care, you can keep your leather looking fresh. We recommend using a leather balm every 2–3 months. It helps remove surface marks, keeps the leather strong, and gives it a clean, renewed look. To use it, just rub a small amount of balm into the leather using a soft cotton cloth or sponge.
